Could it be a potential way of accessing a web fig via an api of a specific router if we need to log in and fix something?
For example in routers section, you click on a specific router then webfig and it opens the webfig interface of this router? Would that work?
Maybe if the live graphs and ping tool becomes accessible from zima, the webfig won’t be needed? or it is still needed for other functions?
What are the use cases where webfig option is used? If you could share screenshots too it would be helpful.
Any other users need webfig access from zima? Please share your thoughts.
For my instance is if i am out of the office and i need to check a clients connection or WIFI password. i have to log in to his router but if i can do that all from one place for instance Zima cloud, it would be fantastic as to the CPE is not open to the web. if it is it would open a big can of worms. but if there is a way it can only be accessed via Zima api it would be fantastic.
yes, interesting use case. So you mean that the router would still be on a local IP and its API is protected from public access and at the same time there is a tunnel through zima vpn that allows the access to webfig.
It is feasible, we can do that. We will work on it.
Grate that would save a lot of time. Then a lot of the settings would work as if some one is locally logged in and test can be done from on point of access. One of my friends that is working at a big ISP they use netxms but it is a Linux server that must be running.
